For over 50 years, locally renowned DJ turned pizzaiolo, Joel Schonbach has stunned friends and family with his encyclopedic knowledge of all things saucy, doughy, and crusty.

His inspired pizza creations have left some mouths watering and others wondering if corn is, indeed, the greatest pizza topping of all time.

Our Story

Stadenco has always been about good taste.

​

For much of his life that meant music. Then, he realized that taste also happens in the mouth. 

​

He knew then that his ability as a selector of all things delicious, both sonic and edible, was a skill to which the world needed access. 

​

First he had kids. Two of them, or else the name "Stadenco and Sons" wouldn't make sense. THEN he ate pizza. Lots of it. 

​

He ate so much of it he ran out of places in NEW YORK CITY, of all places, to eat pizza. He made lists, he gave suggestions and advice, he even went to New Jersey.

​

Then and only then, after all the pizza had been et, he decided it was his time to make-ah the pizza-pie. 

​

Under the tutelage of famed pizzaiolo, Roberto Caporuscio, the only Italian National permitted to teach the pizza magic outside the boot, he learned how to feed scores of hungry Crew members.

And so he took the pies on the road. From Queens to Danbury. From mozarella to mortadella. The legend was born. The pizzas were eaten.

Our Chefs

Joel Schonbach

Our Pizza Master in Residence (sometimes, it's your residence). For decades this dough savant worked the turn tables (and made other people sound good) until one day he realized he could stop twisting nobs and start folding dough. The world thanked him by putting on an average of five imperial pounds while scarfing down pie after pie.

Or, DJ Only Requests. Known to rock the decks as well as a toppings station. When he's not flipping pies he's most likely unlocked your phone, changed your FaceID and somehow made you a hundred dollars. 

Stone Schonbach

The Pizza Stone. The rock. His imaginative palette has wowed pizza audiences across the northeast. His favorite creation, the Taco Pizza, is currently part of a seven figures negotiation with Taco Bell.
